Château de Campuget
The Dalle family has been the owner of the Château de Campuget for more than half a century. Situated in the South of France, it is a member of the appelation Costières de Nîmes.
It is on rolled pebbles washed ashore long time ago by the Rhône river, that, since the 16th Century, the 120 ha of vineyards have been cultivated.
Today, thanks to a combination of tradition and modernity, the Château de Campuget produces a series of high quality products. The control of maturity, yield and temperature during the vinification process allows the wines to give the best of their aromas and perfumes.
The annual production is divided in the following proportions :
80 % A.O.C. , 20 % V.D.P. from the Gard (Merlot and Chardonnay grape varieties) 65 % red, 25 % rosé, 15 % white. The red wines are mainly produced from the Grenache Noir and Syrah whereas the white wines are made from the Grenache Blanc and Roussane varieties.
The quality of the wines of Château de Campuget is recognized more and more by a wide clientele as well as the whole profession : they can be found in the Hachette and Parker guides.
Since winning the Gold Medal at the 'Exposition Universelle' in 1889, our participation in numerous contests has allowed us to receive many awards.
Our diversified commercial activities, national and international, make us the leader of the appelation "Costières de Nîmes".
In France, we deal mainly with the cafés, hotels, restaurants and also sell directly at our domain. Sixty percent of our turnover is however realized by exports : Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, USA, Japan, Norway represent our main outlets.
In fact, the best way to know and appreciate our wines is to taste them...

The main characteristic of our “terroir” is its soil, formed by an accumulation of round stones that had been rolled by many overflows of the Rhône river during the quaternary era. It allows the grapevines to establish their roots deep enough to find the water they need for growing. At ... more
