The 2007 InSpire is quintessential Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, big and bold, yet balanced and refined. Ultra-ripe blueberry, blackberry and cassis are evident in the nose along with aromas of vanilla and dark chocolate. InSpire is dense and rich on the palate with excellent structure and has a long, layered finish.
Wine Enthusiast
Fruit and oak combine in this young, sensuous wine to make for immediate drinkability, but it’s ageable. Floods the mouth with ripe, forward flavors of blackberry pie with the smoky-sweet crust, and there are notes of cola, black currant liqueur and Indian spices. This is a very fine, elegant Cabernet, with superfine tannins. It should age well throughout the decade.

Firm and tightly structured, with a focused band of cedar and anise-laced currant, blackberry, wild berry, sage and herb, gaining depth while remaining elegant and refined. Complex and concentrated, with the flavors lingering on. Drink now through 2018.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
